What Are Sanitary Butterfly Valves?
Sanitary Stainless Steel Butterfly Valves are quarter-turn flow control devices engineered for hygienic process lines. A rotating disc opens or closes the flow path in 90 degrees, enabling fast shutoff with minimal turbulence and zero dead legs. The butterfly valve sanitary design eliminates retention zones and crevices where bacteria could accumulate.
Definition & Working Principle
The centerline design positions the disc at the pipe's axis; a 90° rotation of the stem swings the disc parallel to flow (open) or perpendicular (closed). Eccentric configurations — single, double, or triple offset — reduce seat wear and are available on request.

Valve Construction
