Angle Seat Valve
The Angle Seat Valve is a robust pneumatically actuated shut-off valve widely regarded as the workhorse of sanitary fluid processing due to its exceptional durability reliability and long service life even under demanding operating conditions. The valve features a unique angled seat design where the plug moves at an angle to the flow direction creating a large flow area with minimal pressure drop while achieving tight bubble-tight shutoff. Unlike traditional diaphragm valves the angle seat design uses a metal-to-metal or metal-to-plastic seat interface that can withstand millions of actuation cycles with minimal wear making it ideal for high-frequency on-off cycling applications. The actuator is mounted at an angle to the valve body giving the valve its characteristic compact profile that fits easily into dense piping layouts. Available in normally closed and normally open configurations this versatile valve handles not only clean liquids but also fluids containing suspended solids mild abrasives and viscous products.
Angle Seat Valve
Key Features
• Extremely long service life with over 2 million cycle durability rating.
• High flow capacity with low pressure drop due to streamlined angled flow path.
• Bubble-tight shutoff even with particulate-laden fluids up to certain size.
• Self-cleaning shear action on seat helps wipe away deposits during closing.
• Normally closed and normally open configurations for safety-critical applications.
• Compact actuator angle design saves space in crowded piping arrangements.
• Replaceable seat and plug components extend valve life economically.
• Handles steam hot water and mildly abrasive slurries better than diaphragm valves.
